Rho-9 Discord Security Bot Terms of Service
Effective Date: June 24, 2024
Welcome to the Rho-9 Discord Security Bot ("the Bot"). By interacting with and utilizing the Bot, you accept and agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you are advised not to use the Bot.
1. Adherence to Discord TOS:
All users of the Bot must comply with the Discord Terms of Service (TOS). Any actions contrary to the Discord TOS undertaken while using the Bot may trigger disciplinary measures from the Discord platform itself.
2. Prohibition of Illegal Content:
The use of the Bot to share, distribute, or engage in illegal activities is strictly forbidden. This prohibition includes, but is not limited to, the dissemination of malicious software, unauthorized system access, and any activities that infringe upon applicable laws.
3. Proper Use of the Reporting System:
Users must not misuse the Bot's reporting system. This includes avoiding spamming of false reports or any other actions that may hinder the functionality of the reporting features. Violations may lead to temporary or permanent suspension of access to the Bot.
4. Rights to Blacklist Users:
The owner of the Bot reserves the right to blacklist any user from utilizing the Bot at their sole discretion, without prior notice or explanation. Being blacklisted results in a loss of access to the Bot and may prevent access to servers protected by Rho-9.
5. Modifications to the Terms of Service:
These Terms of Service may be updated or modified at any time. Users will be informed of any changes. Continued use of the Bot following such changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
6. Termination of Service:
The Bot owner reserves the right to terminate the services provided by the Bot at any time, for any reason, with or without prior notice.
7. User Content and Privacy:
The developer may use third-party software to access and review the contents of direct messages, servers, and channels as necessary. For payment details, the Bot utilizes Discord's modals, which function like self-destructing inputs; once submitted, the inputs vanish, ensuring data security. This information is transmitted directly to Stripe, and no payment data is stored by the Bot, making potential data breaches inconsequential with regards to payment information. All other collected information is treated as confidential and will not be disclosed unless necessary for the functioning of the Bot, to resolve user issues, or if required by law due to evidence of abuse of the Bot or related APIs.
8. Emergency Measures:
In cases of emergency, such as the dissemination of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or malware, the developer reserves the right to use the /superban command to ban users from servers. This is not an exhaustive list of potential emergencies; user safety is the foremost concern.
9. Handling of Malicious Abuse:
In instances of deliberate abuse targeting the Bot, the developer reserves the right to implement countermeasures they deem appropriate, such as changing the usernames of the offenders. This serves as a way to indicate awareness of the abuse and to discourage such behaviors. I will troll back.
By using the Rho-9 Discord Security Bot, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service. Non-compliance with these terms may result in the termination of your access to the Bot.
By adding Rho-9 to your server, or using its services, you agree to the following:
Rho-9 Discord Security Bot Privacy Disclosure
Last Updated: June 24, 2024
This Privacy Disclosure outlines the data practices of the Rho-9 Discord Security Bot ("the Bot") operated by
o5_redacted_
.1. Report Storage:
Reports concerning user behavior are stored to enhance security features and monitor compliance. These reports may include user IDs, messages, and relevant context.
2. No Payment Information Storage:
The Bot does not retain payment details. All financial transactions are handled through Discord and via Stripe donations, adhering to their respective privacy standards.
3. Data Security:
The commitment to data security is paramount. The Bot developer implements robust measures to protect user data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
4. In-House Software Usage:
The Bot utilizes proprietary in-house developed software to provide a graphical user interface (GUI) specifically designed for viewing message history of a channel where several errors occurred, sending messages via the bot (Developer Messages), joining a voice channel (VC), and a range of other functions to help troubleshoot issues. This interface does not display information entered into slash commands to ensure privacy. These features enable the developer to assess the Bot's functionality, determine necessary feature updates or patches, and provide human assistance directly through the Bot.
5. Data Sharing:
User data is not shared with third parties unless required by law or necessary to respond to legal requests. There is a strong commitment to not selling, leasing, or distributing user data for commercial purposes.
6. Data Retention:
Data, including reports, is retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the intended security and operational purposes. Efforts are made to minimize the retention of personally identifiable information.
7. User Rights:
Users have the right to inquire about their data, correct inaccuracies, or request data deletion. Such requests should be directed to

.8. Changes to Privacy Policy:
The Bot developer may update this Privacy Disclosure. Users will be notified of changes, and continued use of the Bot after updates signifies acceptance of the new terms.
9. Conditional Privacy Protection:
Privacy protections are conditional upon proper use of the Bot. Intentional misuse, abuse, or attempts to bypass security measures will result in enhanced logging and monitoring to protect the integrity of the Bot and its users. If deemed necessary, collected data will be sent to authorities or Discord, depending on what is most appropriate. Human-assisted logging will be used, including screenshots, to ensure comprehe
